On Tuesday, July 24th, seven members of the YPN Service Team volunteered at Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue. Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue was established in 2015. Their goal is to help overcrowding and euthanization within the pound. They are dedicated to finding quality homes for the animals in need. We fed the animals, cleaned their kennels and walked the dogs. The best part was the animal snuggles! Dr. Marie Henderson, veterinarian and owner of Loving Paws Spay & Neuter, also provided a tour of her clinic to the volunteers. Dr. Henderson provides the spay and neuter services, ensure animals are up to date and receive any necessary immunizations, and cares for their overall health so the animals can be healthy and ready for their new homes.
Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue relies on volunteers and donations from within our community. You can choose to work with dogs or cats. Not a pet lover? Volunteer to help out with administrative tasks, fundraising, marketing, etc. They can put your talents and passions to use! Please sign up to volunteer at furryfriendsrockinrescue.org.
Thanks to all the YPN members who volunteered their time for this fun event!
